Information and Brokerage Day: Call on European Network of AI Excellence Centres – 28th May 2019 – Brussels, Belgium
A match-making brokerage day will take place on 28 May 2019 in Brussels for the call on European Network of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Excellence Centres (ICT-48-2020). It will offer an opportunity to network with some of the most prominent experts in the field and the information needed to participate in the call for proposals will be provided by the European Commission. The call for proposals “ICT-48-2020: Towards a vibrant European network of AI excellence centres” is planned to open in July with a deadline on November 13 2019. The draft agenda for the event is already available and registration will open soon. Registration will be on first-come, first-served basis, and limited to one participant per organisation (“excellence centre”), the others will be put on reserve list.

In its’ capacity as the National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), the UK Research Office will hold two information events for organisations and individuals interested in applying to the 2019 MSCA Individual Fellowships (IF) call. The first event will be held in London on 29 May 2019, and the second event will be held in Newcastle on 13 June 2019. The 2019 Call for Individual Fellowships was launched on 11 April 2019 with a submission deadline of 11 September 2019. The London event will also cover the MSCA Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND) call which was launched on 4 April 2019 with a submission deadline of 26 September 2019. SC3: Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy Information Event and Brokerage – 25th-27th June 2019 – Brussels, Belgium
The information day for Societal Challenge 3 2020 Calls will take place on 25-27 June 2019, with information and registration available here. A brokerage event, organised by the Horizon 2020 Energy National Contact Points, will form part of this info day and will allow attendees to network and look for partners.
SC1: Health Information and Partnering Event 2019 – 3rd-4th July 2019 – Brussels, Belgium
The European Commission is holding an Information day for Societal Challenge 1 (SC1) “Health, Demographic Change & Wellbeing” focusing on the 2020 call on 3rd July 2019 in Brussels. Attendance is free although prior registration will be required. The information day will be followed by a partnering event on 4th July 2019 hosted by Health-NCP-Net 2.0, in partnership with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The partnering event will provide a range of networking opportunities, as well as additional information on the upcoming SC1 calls. Registration is free and open until 31st May 2019.
Webinar on Third EU Health Work Plan 2019 – 8th May 2019
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE), together with the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) will soon run a webinar on the recently published Work Plan 2019 for the Third EU Health Programme. One of the foci will be on stakeholder actions to implement EU guidelines on prudent use of antimicrobials in human health. Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF2020) – 5th-9th July 2019 – Trieste, Italy
ESOF2020 announces the opening of the call for proposals for of its Science programme, Science to business programme and Careers programme for its next conference. The science program includes nine major themes: Blue planet, I compute therefore I am, Science and society, Breaking frontiers in science and knowledge, sustainable future, nourishing the planet, live long and prosper, science for policy/policy for science and the smart city. Submissions are open until June 15 2019.

The European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) 2019 will take place on 14th -16th October in Helsinki, Finland. The event focuses on Big Data and Data-Driven AI Research and Innovation and previous editions have had an average of around 700 industry professionals, business developers, researchers, and policymakers coming from 40 different countries attending.
