The Research and Enterprise Network for Universities invites you to attend their next conference ‘REF and KEF – WHERE NEXT? on 5th April 2019 at the University of Hertfordshire.

The morning session will cover the Knowledge Exchange Framework, in particular, KEF Concordat, KEF principles, KEF Metrics, HEIF and the Strength in Places Fund.

Alice Frost, Director of Knowledge Exchange at Research England will speak on KEF metrics, the Strength in Places Fund, and HEIF. Following Alice will be Greg Wade, Policy manager at Universities UK leading on Innovation, growth, employability and skills, who will speak on KEF Principles and the KEF Concordat.

After this will be a discussion panel for all delegates to put their own questions to both Alice and Greg as well as other panel members.

In the Afternoon, Steven Hill, Director of Research at Research England, will give a keynote speech on REF Codes of practice. This will be followed by a general overview of the REF Institutional Environment Pilot from Professor Linda King Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research and Global Partnerships at Oxford Brookes University. There will be a discussion session on various REF issues after both presentations.

This event represents an excellent networking opportunity for RENU members and we have cut the registration fee in half for all members for this event. If your institution is listed below, then you can automatically register for the 50% discount (member registration fee is £75). There is a special day rate of £40 for members from the University of Hertfordshire. If a delegate wishes to attend for a half day only, the member rate is £40 for either morning or afternoon.
